Soigné: The Celebration
A Tribute to the 20 Glorious Years of Sigma Alpha Nu Manila
To commence UP Sigma Alpha Nu Manila's
year-long celebration, the Sorority hosted its annual symposium with the theme
Σh Ano Ngayon Kung Batang Politiko Ka? The invited key Speakers for this
engagement, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and brod Mike Defensor, shed light on
the youth's participation and involvement as our nation faces very trying times.
The timely and relevant occasion aimed to inspire and
remind the students of UP Manila of their role as Iskolar ng Bayan and the
country's future leaders and equally-important, serves as a call to action to
respond to their social responsibility as members of the youth.

Just two years after its establishment in the University
of the Philippines Manila campus, the Manila chapter has produced many student
leaders since 1990.
From the nine founding members, the sorority has grown to many batches
of ladies who are one in upholding the sorority's principles of Truth, Reason
and Justice. Lofty guidelines which has always set each ladies' standard in
work, lifestyle and family.

Sigma Alpha Nu Manila stands proud of its achievements ranging from
medical-dental missions in depressed areas, legal and financial assistance to
abused women, projects which benefit the sick and our myriad of alumni
achievers- graduates of different medical and bachelor of arts courses, from the
elusive 7-year medicine course INTARMED, to law even to I.T.
In all endeavors, the mark of excellence indeed!
Sigma Alpha Nu Manila will continue to harness potential
leaders and achievers within the campus. In the words of Vince Lombardi, "It
is time for us all to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever — the one
who recognizes the challenge and does something about it,” the Sisters of
the Sigma Alpha Nu Sorority Mania continues to uphold the goals of
